The heat production plant

The heat production plant or boiler plant makes it possible to produce the heat required to operate the network. It often operates 24/7 to ensure continuous service for the end users.

The heat produced can be generated from a wide variety of energy sources:
  • Conventional energies: fuel oil, gas, coal, cogeneration
  • Recovered energies: heat produced from Household Waste Incineration Plants (HWIP), biogas from organic fermentation.
  • Renewable energies: biomass, geothermal, solar, fuel wood etc.
